My name is Lizzy and I am the owner of Gothic Ties, a Scranton, PA florist specializing in unique alternative floral design. We service all of Eastern Pennsylvania (Jim Thorpe, Philadelphia, Poconos, Harrisburg, Lehigh Valley), New Jersey and we are willing to travel so please do not hesitate to send an inquiry! We specialize in creating alternative weddings for our alternative clients.
I created this business because it is the perfect combination of two of my greatest joys in life, love and horror. I love being there for the clients that are just like me and want to add a little bit of drama, romance and authenticity to their weddings. Clients that want to break away from the standard color palettes of most weddings and be authentically themselves.
I have a deep love for having a part in telling your love stories. Ever since I was a little girl I have been in love, with love itself!
When I would get home every day after school I would throw on one of my favorite love stories. Stories like, Practical Magic, Bride Wars, Peter Pan (2003), 10 Things I Hate About You and Romeo + Juliet (young Leo DiCaprio am I right??). The list could go on forever!
Then when I got a little older I fell in love with the horror genre. There is something so beautiful in the dark and mysterious. Horror can take a feeling like, an all consuming love for someone that makes you feel like you would do anything for your person, and implement an element of horror and darkness to make it, in my opinion, so obsessively romantic.
As a woman and LGBTQ+ owned company, I am here for couples of ALL genders, sexualities, races, ethnicities, and religions. I want Gothic Ties to be a safe space to express who you really are as a person and as a couple. Let me help tell your unique story through our alternative designs.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and I hope to work with you in the future!
Here are the basics:
I am an alternative florist, not just gothic. I design artful and personalized pieces for each wedding. I can’t wait to hear your ideas for your wedding!
I have been in the wedding industry, specializing in floral design and wedding decor, since 2021. So 5+ years and over 350 weddings and events, designed and delivered under my belt.
I have a background in Film Studies and Video Editing. This comes in handy for my attention to detail and obsession with making sure that everything is perfectly in its place.
We are not your average wedding florists - we are the artisans of our craft, flowering your special day with our unique touch.
Step into a realm where beauty meets darkness, and where every bouquet, centerpiece and couple tells a tale of mysterious romance. Embrace the darkness of our origin story, where love and gothic aesthetic intertwine in perfect harmony.

Kira and Tyler brought their alternative, gothic-leaning style to life here—dark romantic touches, personal flair, and unconventional details that felt utterly true to them—while the surrounding lakeside landscape and wooded vistas gave the day a grounded, homey atmosphere.

Design-wise, Nick and Luke wanted a muted rainbow palette. That palette was such a delicious creative puzzle: a rainbow wedding can easily tip from elegant to over-the-top, so the challenge was to honor the full spectrum while keeping everything refined, romantic, and cohesive.

Brooke & Cam’s wedding at Moonstone Manor in Elizabethtown, PA felt like an elegant daydream—part enchanted garden party, part modern-chic soiree—with just the right amount of unexpected flair.

The Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel in Scranton, Pennsylvania is one of the most beautiful places to get married in Scranton, in my humble, professional florist opinion. Sheri and Kevin didn’t hesitate for a second when they saw this magnificent venue — it was everything they’d imagined and more.
